Servers, workstations, printers, like all electronic equipment, can break down from time to time. Sometimes from mechanical or electronic failure, sometimes from the effects of power surges or other external influences.

RNS Consultants recommend that workstations, servers and other critical network hardware are protected by extended manufacturers’ hardware warranties. This recommendation applies particularly to servers as a failure here will usually cause total network disruption to users when they can no longer get access to their data and other network resources. As part of the standard maintenance contract, RNS technicians will act as intermediaries to the manufacturers, diagnosing hardware issues, communicating with technical support staff at the manufacturers and fitting replacement parts as and when required.

RNS Consultants is also able to offer an insurance to provide hardware support on a bespoke basis for items of hardware not covered by manufacturers’ warranties.
